Learn How Tax Credits Can Save You Thousands of Dollars!
Colorado tax law allows you to save thousands of dollars on your State of Colorado income taxes through Colorado Conservation Easement tax credits. Unlike juggling your investments and looking for a safe bet, when you buy tax credits you can be certain you are saving money AND making a positive contribution. When you buy tax credits, you help to preserve land and help landowners who are struggling in tough economic times while saving yourself thousands of dollars.
This Colorado tax credit program allows you to save up to 7% on your state taxes while preserving specific areas of Colorado’s natural treasures. For example, your tax savings also allow Bob Johnson to preserve nearly 800 acres surrounded by Canyon of the Ancients National Monument. This is the kind of smart financial planning and contribution to your community that you can feel good about sharing with your friends, family and business colleagues. After all, it’s not often that you can save yourself significant money while improving your community at the same time. Contact us today to get started or continue to read for more information.

Where do these credits come from?
Landowners who permanently preserve their land from subdivision and development with a conservation easement can generate state income tax credits up to $5 million. If they can’t use all the credits themselves, they can then sell them at a discount to people with larger state tax bills.
How it works
Landowners can sell credits to people like you at a discount for use against your state of Colorado tax bill. If your tax liability is $100,000, you can buy $100,000 worth of income tax credits for only $93,000, saving you $7,000 on your state tax bill. We also sell credits as small as $10,000.
A Wise and Safe Investment
Senate Bill 13-221 (went into effect on January 1, 2014) strengthened the tax credit program. Stronger oversight guidelines have been put into place at the State level. Appraisers are being held to higher standards and the Colorado conservation easement income tax credit program is now sounder than ever. Tax Credit Connection, Inc. has always had a deep commitment to reviewing tax credits to make sure they are absolutely safe and credible. We continue to do this, as well as host and engage in various educational outreach events in the community to continue to improve industry-wide due diligence. In addition, we only work with sellers who guarantee their credits.
A True Win-Win-Win Situation
By purchasing conservation easement income tax credits, you win by saving money on your tax bill, the landowner wins by getting cash for preserving their land, and Coloradoans win by being able to enjoy the wildlife habitat, scenic vistas, and working farms and ranches that have been preserved through this worthy program.
